Standing on a Fence

I took this picture of my friends a few months ago. I didn't consider drawing it until I'd seen a story book in my mom's collection called "Cat Sank!" which has very simplistic illustrations but describes decorations and metal grates on architecture etc. I saw in this photo the designs in the fence and on the light post and decided to put it into a drawing. I like how the girls turned out looking active and not sitting still as most of my portraits tend to be.
